Write to elected officials
Write to the Premier, the Minister, your MLA and local council about the importance of maintaining outdoor recreation opportunities for ALL Albertans. Share your experiences and concerns with elected officials so they better understand the impact of decisions made to reduce OHV access.
Writing letters is the single most effective way to make your opinion known to government. While it takes a bit of time and effort, it ensures the greatest result in terms of recognition and response.
So, please write to Premier Rachel Notley, Minister of Environment and Parks, Shannon Phillips, your MLA and local council. Take Action and be part of the solution by stating your position on the closure of trails within the Castle Park area as well as in other areas of the province.
While the closure of trails within the Castle Parks and all along the eastern slopes plus the manner in which they were announced are outrageous, your aim is to be listened to as decisions about the future are being made. Here are a few letter writing tips you can follow as you Take Action to be part of the solution.
