About AOHVA
The Alberta Off-Highway Vehicle Association (AOHVA) is the provincially recognized voice of off-highway vehicle trail users throughout Alberta.
The Association is dedicated to providing safe motorized recreational activities in an environmentally responsible manner. Our efforts focus on education, safety, and the restoration and revitalization of trails and associated facilities on public and private land throughout Alberta.
AOHVA is comprised of a diverse group of people who care for and love Alberta’s landscape. We represent the interests of not only the estimated 165,000 users of off-highway vehicles but of the many associated family and friends who partake in related activities with OHVs being the central focus of recreational activities enjoyed by over 500,000 Albertans.
AOHVA, was created over 30 years ago by a group of off-road enthusiasts concerned about the lack of a united front to represent the interests of off-road motorcyclists and ATV riders throughout the province of Alberta. Since that time, the AOHVA has developed and maintained an on-going working relationship with the provincial government and local municipalities across the province.
AOHVA is a key player in land access plans across the province, working with local area off-road clubs, other interested organizations, and government agencies to retain and maintain riding areas for current and future OHV enthusiasts.
